AI-native compliance auditing

Plumbline

Sampling tests a few and infers the rest.
Plumbline tests every item.

Plumbline is 7T World's AI-native compliance-auditing engine. It independently tests whether your controls actually work — across the full population, not a sample — at a cadence you choose, and produces evidence that holds up: to your examiners, to your board's audit committee, and to the third line of defense that signs the assurance. Like a plumb line against a wall — a true reading you can trust.

SAMPLED FULL POPULATION A sample tested. The rest, unknown. Every item tested. The exception surfaces.

A sample can only tell you about the sample.

Testing has always meant pulling a sample — a handful of items — and inferring the rest of the population from it. It became the accepted method because testing every item by hand was never realistic. But the item you didn't pull is the item you can't speak to, and it is precisely where the next finding tends to live.

Plumbline is 7T World's AI-native compliance-auditing engine. It tests the full population instead of a sample of it, so the answer covers every item in scope — not a projection from a few. When an examiner asks what you tested, the answer is all of it.

Independent testing, not another opinion.

A review confirms a control is written down and configured. An audit tests whether it actually works. Plumbline audits.

It tests the control, not the paperwork

Most reviews check that a control exists, is documented, and is configured. Plumbline puts the control to the test against your real activity and records what actually happened — including the alerts that should have fired and didn't.

Full population, every run

Not a sample projected onto the whole. Every item in the population you and your auditors put in scope is tested, at a cadence you set — from continuous to periodic. Coverage becomes a fact you can point to, not a confidence interval you have to defend.

Evidence built to be examined

Every finding carries its own trail — what was tested, when, and why it landed where it did. The record is re-runnable, so an examiner or your audit committee can check the auditor, not just the answer.

The auditor in the compliance core.

Three products divide the work the way a well-run program does — one defines the controls, one watches for change, and Plumbline tests whether the controls actually hold. Each stands alone; together they close the loop.

DEFINE

Binnacle

Defines the controls — what your institution has, and what good looks like.

MONITOR

Soundings

Monitors for change — regulatory movement and control drift, read every day.

TEST

Plumbline

Tests whether the controls actually hold — independently, across the full population, with evidence that stands up.

Plumbline runs standalone and audits the controls your institution already has. It is stronger where Binnacle and Soundings are in place — it audits what they help you operate — but it depends on neither.

What you walk away with

Not a score and a shrug. A tested read on where your controls actually stand — and the evidence to stand behind it.

Full-population test results — every item in scope, not a sample
A reproducible evidence trail behind every finding
Findings ranked by significance, not by what got sampled
Coverage you can point to — what was tested, when, and how often
An examiner-tailored view, produced only on request
A record you can re-run, so the answer holds up under challenge

Built for the third line of defense

Built for the third line, not the second

Plumbline is bought by and built for Internal Audit — the independent assurance function. Compliance runs the controls; Plumbline tests them. The line between who operates a control and who tests it stays clean.

You can audit the auditor

Every conclusion is reproducible — the same inputs re-run to the same result, with the reasoning attached. An examiner or your audit committee can check how a finding was reached, not take it on faith. That, not an assertion, is what earns the trust.

It doesn't replace your judgment

Plumbline tests and evidences; your team dispositions. Every finding arrives with its basis, so a person makes the call and owns it — the way independent assurance is supposed to work.

How a deployment starts

An audit is only as good as what your examiner will accept as evidence.

Every Plumbline deployment opens with advisory — the controls in scope, the population that matters, the cadence your program needs, and what your regulators and your audit committee will actually accept as evidence. The test gets built to that, not to a generic checklist.

It runs under your controls and is stood up by people who have been on the other side of the exam — as the regulator, the enforcement attorney, the risk and compliance officer, the auditor, the engineer, and the founder. Evidence an examiner can read is the difference between an audit that strengthens your program and one that becomes the next finding.

A sample can only tell you about the sample.

See it working

See a control tested across a full population rather than a pull of twenty-five — and the re-runnable evidence trail it leaves behind.

Name a control you've had to defend

Bring a control your team has had to stand behind in an exam, and you'll get an honest read on what testing the full population would surface, what evidence it would leave behind, and how it would hold up in front of your examiner — from a founder, not a sales rep. The value is the read, whether or not you build with us.

Governed AI

AI you can govern.

Plumbline is AI-native — and an auditor hearing "AI-native" hears a model that now has to be governed, not a headline. So here is how it is built: you own every determination. The AI tests, scores, and drafts the finding; a reviewer your institution has authorized decides and signs off. The human-in-the-loop is not optional, and it is logged. No finding closes itself, and nothing reaches your audit committee without a person standing behind it.

What the AI does, and where its limits are, is stated plainly — to a controls-minded buyer, transparency about limits reads as more credible, not less. Independence is the point of the third line, so the evidence is re-runnable by design: your examiner can check the auditor, not just the answer.

And your content is processed under commercial terms that prohibit using it to train AI models, automatically deleted within 30 days — kept longer only where required by law or flagged for trust-and-safety review — and never sold or shared with third parties.

Your record

The test history belongs to your institution.

What was tested, when, against which population, and what it found — that history is the thing your audit committee and your examiner will ask for, sometimes years later. It is dated, structured, exportable, and portable from the first run.

If you ever leave, you take all of it with you — not a read-only screenshot, not ninety days of portal access. An audit record you cannot take with you is not much of an audit record.

Fit

Tested against the standard that actually applies to you.

An audit is only useful if it is an audit against the right expectations. A bank answers to the FDIC, the OCC, or the Federal Reserve by charter — and to the Community Reinvestment Act. A credit union answers to the NCUA, on its field of membership and its share accounts, under a framework that knows CRA doesn't apply to it. An MSB answers to FinCEN and its state money-transmitter licensors, not a prudential exam at all. A fintech answers for the bank partnered behind it. The controls in scope, the population that matters, and what counts as evidence all follow from that — which is why every deployment opens with advisory rather than a generic test library.

A plumb line is the oldest honest instrument there is — a weight on a string, indifferent to what anyone hoped the wall would be. Your controls deserve the same reading. Get a true reading →
